Articulated booms generally have a maximum operating height of 140 feet. This kind of articulated boom has a simple structure, easy operation, high work efficiency, and excellent safety. Scissor Lifts

The difference between the scissor lift and other boom-type lifts is that it does not have a telescopic boom nor a rotation function. Scissor lift is a wide range of high-altitude lifting equipment. Its structure is very special, using a linked folding bracket with a cross-scissor-like mechanical structure. This structure allows the lifting platform to be stably raised and lowered and provides a larger carrying capacity and a larger working platform. Therefore, the use of this scissor lift can improve work efficiency and safety. It is suitable for high-altitude operations that require multiple people. The scissor lift can be installed on a trailer with wheels to facilitate movement or choose to use a fixed bracket to fix its position.

Types of Scissor Lifts


Hydraulic

The hydraulic scissor lift mainly uses an engine or an electric motor to generate power in order to drive the hydraulic system to raise or lower the working platform. When the pressure of hydraulic oil changes, the working platform will move up and down. The hydraulic scissor lift is easy to operate and can be easily operated without a lot of training. Most of these hydraulic scissor lifts are used in construction sites and engineering construction projects. Rough Terrain

The rough terrain uses heavy-duty tires, which can increase the gravity of the machine. Rough terrain mainly uses gasoline to generate power, not batteries. Pneumatic

The pneumatic scissor lift is a very environmentally friendly scissor lift. It mainly uses air pressure to draw air into the interior to drive the lift up and down. Because there is no hydraulic system and engine, this type of lift does not require frequent maintenance and does not emit a large amount of carbon to pollute the environment. Compared with other types of scissor lifts, the pneumatic scissor lift will cost higher than others.
